Planning isn't everything

Preparation and planning have always been my mantra. "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

But I've recently come to see that planning ahead is not the whole picture to acheiving goals.


Steer.

This means course-correction while the plan is being carried out. When unexpected delays or obstacles arrive, you have to be flexible enough to change your plans. On the fly. Sometimes using nothing but intuition, when you don't have time or resources to study the facts.
